Printing Wars On The Costa del Sol, Spain

I detest being ripped off!

For many years now the local printers on the Costa del Sol have had it easy, charging huge amounts of money for standard printing work. For example to have 1000 business cards printed in full colour on both sides would have cost anywhere between €120 and €200 – in comparison to the UK and the rest of Europe it was a rip off. Oh and the quality, well that’s another thing entirely, the quality of the printing and service has been appalling!!

Until a new European online company was set up (ndi3 Printing Services) and started to offer very competitive prices and great quality. Well now the local printers are up in arms that all of a sudden they are getting their comeuppance… about bloody time too!

Now every one is jumping on the bandwagon, offering deals here and there and trying to make there service appear better than it really is. Well the truth is, they just can’t compete with ndi3 printing services. Even after the offer free design and a new kitchen sink, their prices are still high and well let’s not talk about customer service or the lack of it…. Arrogance is a word that springs to mind!

It grieves me to think that those companies that have been ripping off their customers for so years have the gall to advertise and basically say – well okay we are getting our backsides locked so we are bringing our prices down , still not low enough, and we’re still making a big profit.

Well to the clients I say, look around and check out the prices don’t get taken to the cleaners anymore.

Oh and just to let you know I have been using the printers for eleven years and have spent a fortune with them, well not anymore.  I now give all my business to the new guys on the block and they are a pleasure to deal with.

The cost of Printing on the Costa del Sol

Over the years, we have had many flyers and cards printed on a fairly regular basis and have always said that the costs were high and the quality is not that great, we have wished that someone out there would take the initiative and do something about it.

Guess what, we recently came across a company that are actually making a difference, they are ndi3 printing services… this is what they say in their web page:

The cost of printing on the Costa del Sol can be ridiculous especially for simple things like flyers, business cards & letter-heads, well not any more.

We are absolutely sick to the back teeth with the local printers charging stupid amounts of money for simple printing jobs, so we have done something about it.

We now have a strategic partnership with a High Quality European Printer and we can offer excellent quality printing, better than anything here on the coast for in some cases, less than half the price, including FREE delivery.

If you have any other printing requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will be delighted to give you a quote. It costs nothing to send an email, so try us out and you never know, you will probably save quite a considerable amount.

We have saved our customers an average of 36% on their printing costs this year alone.

Well we used them and they are fantastic,  they are half the price of anyone else we have used and they deliver to your door.

Well done ndi3.com and thank you!!

Endangered Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys on the rebound!

Endangered Yunnan snub-nosed monkey.

The number of the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus bieti), an endangered species considered to be one of China’s national treasures like the panda, has been increasing continually over the past few years, according to xinhuanet.com.

The Yunnan snub-nosed monkey has been included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources Red List of threatened species.

Since 1994, they have increased by at least 750 and now number more than 2,500, said Long Yongcheng, who has long been committed to researching and protecting the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey. Long is the chief of the primate expert team under the China Zoological Society and chief scientist of the Nature Conservancy in China.

Japanese asked "stop eating endangered bluefin tuna"

Stop eating endangered bluefin tuna!

Japanese people, who consume most of the Atlantic and Mediterranean bluefin tuna catch, should avoid eating the species until its harvest becomes sustainable, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) said last Monday.

Japan consumes three-quarters of all bluefin, mainly raw as sushi and sashimi, but experts agree that decades of overfishing have seen its stocks crash by more than two-thirds in the Mediterranean.

“We want to make a call to Japanese traders, retailers and consumers,” said Susana Sainz-Trapaga, who heads WWF’s Mediterranean activities.

Gulf Water Sample Explodes When Chemist Tests For Toxicity (VIDEO)

In this video, WKRG News 5 investigates the toxicity levels of local public beaches that have been populated with people swimming and children playing in the water in Alabama. Their search ends with some explosive results.

WKRG teams up with Bob Naman, an analytical chemist with almost 30 years in the field. Naman tested WKRG’s various samples for petroleum, and said he expected to find no more than 5 parts per million (ppm). Instead, Naman finds results that far exceed his expectations: 16 ppm from waters at Katrina Key, and 29 ppm at Orange Beach.

The most shocking results came from a sample of water collected near a boom at Dauphin Island Marina. When Naman combined the sample with an organic solvent that separates the oil from the water, which he did for all the other samples as well, it exploded in his lab, breaking the container and destroying the sample in the process. Naman thinks the reaction was caused by the presence of methane gas or Corexit, the dispersant that BP has been using in the Gulf.

Is It A Bird, Is It A Plane? – No Its A TRANSITION

A highway-worthy airplane moves one step closer to production with a recent weight exemption approved by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The Transition Roadable Aircraft, developed by Massachusetts-based engineering firm Terrafugia, will be allowed a maximum takeoff weight of 1,430 pounds, the same allowance made for aircraft designed to operate on water.

Other planes in the class, called Light Sport Aircraft, are limited to a maximum takeoff weight of 1,320 pounds.

“The main reason for that additional weight is the additional safety features that the Transition has — because it’s designed to be operated on the road — that aren’t found in other light aircraft,” said Anna Dietrich, Terrafugia’s chief operating officer.

Gulf Oil Slick: The Number Of Birds Covered In Oil Has Begun To Climb Steeply

It was inevitable that this would happen.

Despite the fact that the US Gulf Coast continues to experience and suffer from the largest oil spill in living history, the number of birds and other wildlife visibly injured and killed by the oil has remained surprisingly low—until now.

According to the latest figures published by the disaster response coordinators, over the past week birds covered in oil, both alive and dead, have started turning up in much greater numbers. Between 2nd of June 2010 and the 9th of June 2010, the total numbers of birds affected have been collected alive along the coastlines of the five affected Gulf states (but mainly in and around the shore of Louisiana) rose from 82 to 442. During the same period, the number of birds found both alive and dead has increased from 604 to 1075.

Evidently these numbers are still low for a disaster of this size however, the sharp rise in the numbers is worrying, especially since British Petroleum and the United States government have yet to find a solution to stop oil leak.

Wildlife organizations are managing to help some of the birds recovered alive by cleaning the feathers, giving them clean water and food, and eventually releasing them. However, many birds are so ill by the toxins that they will either die or must be destroyed.

In addition to harming the adult bird population, the oil is cataclysmically disastrous to the young. Nesting Pelicans have been returning to their nests with their feathers coated in oil which then covers the shells of the eggs and the young birds with harmful oil. The oil  kills young birds and prevents eggs from hatching.
